Tesla's All-electric Semi-Truck to hit the roads by 2023!

The all-electric Semi-truck is expected to take on and concur all the travelled routes currently being dominated by Diesel powered trucks! Will the Tesla Semi-truck be ready? Trucxle Hydraulic Hub has a felling it will be!

Claiming to be the safest & most comfortable truck ever! Tesla has hinted a few small promises, to deliver not only comfort it seems but a whole lot more.

We are all now slowly coming to terms with the reality that electric powered vehicles are here & here to stay! Not solely due to the environmentally friendly benefits in which we are growing more conscious of, nor the financially freeing perks that we so desperately need. But because Tesla, led by Elon Musk have proved this theory right, time and time again. Consistently releasing new & more forward-thinking Electric powered vehicles that surpass the current mercurial standards to which they are tested to. One could go on rambling for days as to why & how Tesla is to lead the future of road bound transportation but lets let the innovating Giant car manufacturer do the talking. Tesla's All-electric, Semi-truck is to take the road by 2023. Below , for the time being is what Tesla promises will hit the road with it!

"Safest truck Ever"

Tesla has announced that the Semi- truck will be equipped with "Enhanced Autopilot that helps avoid collisions, a centred driver position provides maximum visibility and control, and a low centre of gravity offers rollover protection". As we know, Tesla has probably the worlds best AI (artificial intelligence) software. So when they claim for it to be the "safest Truck ever", its safe to say...they mean it. However it would not go unsaid that Tesla isn't stupid, so to that they politely disclaim the following: "Every driver is responsible for remaining alert and active when using Autopilot, and must be prepared to take action at any time"

"Badass performance"

The Tesla Semi-truck will have quick acceleration—from 0-60 mph in 20 seconds, fully loaded. Instant traction control with four independent motors. Quickest upgrades. The Specs on performance and costs are listed below:

  • Acceleration 0-60 mph with 80k lb - 20 sec

  • Speed up a 5% Grade - 60 mph

  • Mile Range - 300 or 500 miles

  • Powertrain - 4 Independent Motors on Rear Axles

  • Energy Consumption - Less than 2 kWh per mile

  • Fuel Savings - $200,000+

  • Expected Base Price(300 mile range) - $150,000

  • Expected Base Price(500 mile range) - $180,000

  • Base Reservation - $20,000

Lowest Cost of Ownership.

Electric energy costs are half those of diesel. With fewer systems to maintain, the Tesla Semi provides $200,000+ in fuel savings and a two-year payback period.

Trucxle's Hypothesis!

Although there is not a lot of detailed information regarding Tesla's Semi-truck, it is safe to assume that Tesla are ensuring they can deliver before they start promising the world. The launch of an Electric equivalent Semi-truck will make waves & inevitably change the freighting industry as well as most overall long distance logistics. So it only makes sense that Tesla get it right the first time. With that being said...Tesla never fail to deliver! A innovative market leader that is led by a further innovative forward thinker, allows us at Trucxle Hydraulic Hub to confidently say we believe the Tesla all-electric Semi-truck will be a complete success! It wont be overnight but the influence on the market will be seen from the word go...To give only a few examples as to where we will start seeing effects are: One or two Large transporters will set it off by replacing their entire fleet with the new Tesla Semi's. This will ignite a "follow the leader" or "better my competitor" phenomenon. Tesla will most likely launch the Semi with a state of the art "Fleet management" software that will allow companies to manage their Trucks on the road as well as their drivers more efficiently & in more optimized ways than we are even able to think of as yet. The obvious, of course would be the millions of dollars saved on cutting out Diesel costs every year. Do you agree with Trucxle's hypothesis? If SO, please like & share this short article. If NOT please comment as to why not as well as educate us as to why.
